How We Verify Quality — Document by Document
No vague promises. This is the exact inspection process and the exact paperwork behind every SMAT shipment.
The Process
Four Checkpoints Between the Factory and Your Floor
01
Vendor Qualification
Before a vendor receives a single order, we verify ISO 9001 certification, audit machine capability and calibration records, and review past quality performance. Vendors that can't document their process don't enter the network.
02
First-Article Approval
First orders run a first-article inspection. You receive the sample and its dimensional report, and production only starts after you approve both. No surprises at the receiving dock.
03
Pre-Dispatch Inspection
Every batch is checked against your drawing before it ships: dimensional verification (CMM where tolerances demand it), material analysis, and coating verification. Batch traceability is maintained from raw material to carton.
04
Inbound Re-Check
Stock routed through our India and USA warehouses is re-verified on arrival before domestic dispatch — a second set of eyes between the factory and your floor.
The Paperwork
What Arrives With Every Shipment
Quality you can't audit is just marketing. These documents ship with every order — and vendor ISO certificates for the specific supplier quoted on your RFQ are shared before you commit.
Material Test Certificate
EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate — chemistry and mechanical properties traceable to the heat number.
Dimensional Inspection Report
Measured values against your drawing tolerances, with the instrument used for each dimension.
First-Article Inspection Report
Full FAI documentation on first orders — approved by you before production begins.
Packing List with Batch Traceability
Every carton mapped to its production batch, so any question later traces back to a specific lot.
Lead Times
Honest Lead Times, By Category
Typical production windows before freight. Sea freight to US ports adds 25–35 days, air 3–7 days, and USA warehouse stock ships domestically in 3–5 business days. Your quote confirms the exact schedule.
| Category | Typical Production | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cutting Tools | 3–5 weeks | Standard geometries; specials quoted per drawing |
| Fasteners | 2–4 weeks | Standard sizes M3–M64; specialty grades add 1–2 weeks |
| Fixtures | 6–10 weeks | Custom workholding, including design review |
| Design & Development | 2–4 weeks | Prototype lead; production tooling quoted per project |
| Specialty Sourcing | 0–8 weeks | Depends on vendor qualification for the part |
Straight Answers
We're a young company — founded in Hyderabad in 2024. We don't have decades of legacy to point at, so we compete on something better: everything documented, everything in writing. If a specification can't be met, we tell you at the RFQ stage, not at the receiving dock. Ask us for sample inspection paperwork before you place your first order — we'll send it.
